This is my journal for following discussions about role-playing, roleplaying games, and RP theory.
If I've 'friended' you out of the blue and you have no earthly idea who I am, don't panic. It's likely because you have been known to post on RPG theory in a manner that I find interesting. I will not be offended or insulted if you don't reciprocate. Honestly, I have no idea when I'll ever get around to writing anything in here - or even if I ever will. Right now, I'm still very much in Lurk Mode.
If you read the rec.games.frp.* Usenet hierarchy back in the mid-'90s, then you may remember me. I mainly hung out on rec.games.frp.advocacy, where I spent much of my time exhorting others to throw off the shackles of the running-dog consumerist game designers, burn all their gaming books, and join the People's Dirty Hippie Freeform Revolution.
These days, I am considerably less strident. Age will do that to one, sometimes. I'm still a dirty hippie freeformer, though. Deal with it.
That said, some of my best friends are game designers.
No! Really! They are!
